Indonesian documents for Singapore
This page is for Singapore-based applicants, employers, schools, migration coordinators, and Indonesian families who need Indonesian documents translated into English for use in Singapore. Common searches include Indonesian sworn translator Singapore, translate Indonesian birth certificate for Singapore PR, Kartu Keluarga translation for ICA, and Indonesian diploma translation for MOM. Send the document and the receiving authority's instruction first, so the translation, certification statement, file format, and any separate notarisation or attestation step can be checked before work starts.
What we handle
Each assignment is reviewed for language, purpose, format, schedule, and delivery requirements before work begins.

Singapore PR document guide for ICA and MOM
Singapore document requests are rarely just about changing Indonesian words into English. ICA, MOM, schools, companies, or a Singapore notary may require the original document, a certified true copy, an English translation, notarisation, embassy attestation, or another supporting record. The translation should be prepared with that pathway in mind.
Permanent-residence applications are handled by ICA. The document set depends on the applicant route: spouse of a Singapore citizen or PR, child, aged parent, Employment Pass or S Pass holder, student, or investor. Before ordering a translation, check the route-specific ICA checklist and mark every Indonesian-language document.
ICA states that documents in languages other than English need official translations. Indonesian applicants commonly ask about birth certificates, family cards, marriage books, divorce records, diplomas, transcripts, police certificates, employment letters, payslips, and tax documents. The final list still depends on the actual checklist or officer request.
Indonesian civil records often contain details that are not presented in the same way as Singapore documents. A birth certificate proves parent-child relationships, a Kartu Keluarga shows household composition, a marriage book or marriage certificate supports marital status, and divorce or death records may explain previous family circumstances.
Names must follow the source document. If a passport, KTP, birth certificate, family card, or diploma uses a different spelling or order, the translation should not silently harmonise it. Prepare a supporting explanation or one-and-the-same-person document when the receiving authority asks for it.
MOM states that non-English documents for Employment Pass applications should be uploaded together with an English translation as one file, and the translation can be done by a translation service provider. MOM may still ask for other documents during review.
For education and employment evidence, the translation should preserve the school name, qualification title, transcript details, dates, signatures, and document numbers. Qualification verification, background screening, or portal verification is a different requirement and should not be presented as part of the translation itself.
ICA lists accepted pathways for non-English documents, including embassy translations, translations by a notary public in Singapore or the issuing country/place, and privately translated documents that are attested by the issuing-country embassy or notarised. ICA also states that it does not endorse private translation companies or entities.
A sworn Indonesian translation can support a clear document package, but the applicant must still follow the receiving authority's instruction on notarisation, embassy attestation, certified true copy, or apostille. If a Singapore notary is involved, SAL authentication may become relevant for the notarial certificate.
Send a legible scan or PDF, the intended use, and any instruction from ICA, MOM, a school, an employer, or a notary public. The document is reviewed for language direction, page count, clarity, names, dates, delivery format, and whether a particular certification statement is needed.
After the scope is confirmed, the translation is prepared against the source document. Softcopy delivery can be handled online, while hardcopy delivery can be arranged when required. Any notarisation, attestation, apostille, or certified true copy step should be planned separately.
